I don't understand anorexics. I eat and drink all day every day and I'm like 40 pounds overweight at least.

>no eat = skinny
if you don't eat it's likely that you'll actually gain weight instead of losing it because your body will adapt to fuction well with less calories, so, when you return to a normal way of eating the body will keep up with that slowed down metabolism and you will store calories faster.
It's better if you do intermittent fasting or a diet that intercalates fasting and normal eating, that way you wont fuck up your metabolism and will lose weight more efficiently

...I genuinely can't believe that there exists a human with an IQ low enough to ask this question. You should be studied by scientists.

Are you a moron? Seriously, are you? There's a difference between not eating and being severely malnourished and dehydrated. Say OP is overweight, so his metabolism is the complete opposite of an African child's. What I meant by metabolism is BMR, which slows down when doing extreme diets. When someone starts fasting, their weight loss will be noticeable, but this is accompanied by problems with muscles, organ failure, and brain fog. When returning to a normal diet, since the body has a capacity for maintaining itself on a caloric deficit, it will react by converting those calories into fat rather than muscle because it's "scared" it won't have enough for another fasting period. This is called yo-yo fasting; it's a studied phenomenon.
