Why start a dick measuring contest over a compliment? Especially to your group leader, you're asking to lose at that point.

Growing an ego just because you have a girlfriend is stupid. He's the group leader for a reason. You're lucky he lets you have a girlfriend in the first place.

Alright that's going too far too. Just because he says your gf is hot doesn't mean he'll have sex with her. And you'll come off weird asking your friend that so directly. I can get behind honoring your group leader but in moderation, jeez.

It depends on the context. For example that was said to me when I showed her insta to them, they were kind of congratulatory to me. None of them would make a comment/pass like that because it would be disrespectful to us both.

At the same time, if someone made a comment about her ass or something/catcall that would be taken very differently.

Listen dawg idk where you got the concept of a group leader from but outside of school that shit doesnt happen. After you graduate you need to be intentional and put effort into friendships, so the whole 'leader' type thing doesnt really happen. At most you have someone who is kinda at the 'bottom', and someone who is proactive/okay with planning things.

Plus, a bunch of you will probably have GF/wives and do double dates and so on, increasing that connection within the group.

Indeed. Assuming she isnt a bpdwhore or otherwise repellant to your friends, they will be a part of it. Plus, once one guy gets a gf, most of the others fall like domino's so you dont have to worry about her being the only girl

because he likely said this shit infront of the group somethings shouldn't be said it is just known and out of respect we don't say it. If your girl has a nice fat ass. Any straight man will notice but jackass that doesn't know when to shut his fucking mouth about it especially in your presence needs to be checked regardless of rank. It already sounds like OP might not have the leaders respect and did this shit with impunity, by not standing up and rightly checking the jackass you communicate to the group to disrespect you as well. My overall advice would be get better friends but at least with these types you know who's a snake in the grass easier because they're retards who give themselves away.

Wrong just because you don't consciously notice doesn't mean there isn't a group leader (that just means it probably isn't you). This dynamic develops within minutes of any group forming through subtle interactions. We still have hierarchy mammal brains desu.

Thank you for being the only one to admit that friend group leaders are real but no I've never had to deal with that situation because I don't have a gf. I would never want to make a big deal out of it though, just makes me sound insecure and ungrateful.
Anonymous No.81492529 [Report] >>81492753
>>81492395
There were 'group leaders' in the past, in school, where you were forced into social situations with random people. Once you grow up and arent forced to interact, that shit stops. Sometimes there's someone who knows an area or plans more than others, but thats really it. Also, once everyone has their own lives, its not the same group doing everything. Sometimes someone doesnt make it, or brings along one of their friends/siblings/family. If the group leader isnt present, what happens? Does everyone just up and cancel? Does the first mate take over?

The kind of situation with someone lusting after your girlfriend happens at PARTIES, specifically 'ragers' which is what you often see in media. At times like that, your friends will back you up and help you and her out. If the person doing that is your 'friend', then its time to find new ones.
Anonymous No.81492753 [Report] >>81492801 >>81493251
>>81492529
We're mammals bro and we still have le ape hierarchies in our brains. There isn't a magical moment where hierarchies stop existing because you can choose who you associate with. If the group leader is missing the person with the second best social skills and a domineering personality will take over. Look up emergent leadership.

It kinda is though, one of the middle schools I joined was a smaller class that had been together since grade school and my group leader had a dating history with literally every single girl in class. Extreme example obviously but thinking of a more conventional scenario: if you introduce a girl to your friend group she will be able to tell who the group leader is because it's instinct and the hierarchy is real.
