That's the thing, is the whole working government at the time was after them; AND most of the citizens were informing and happy to do it. She was very young when all the shit started, like 12 or younger; you can't just take a girl like that from her family and "save" her and call it a win. You have to "save" her family.

Really the job the people hiding them did was amazing and extraordinary for the time; you not only have to hide the people but you have to hide getting them enough food when food was scarce and there was a war going on and anyone noticing you were getting enough food for a secret family would have informed on you.
