it got too centralized. there arent really communities anymore. and it means anytime something happens to spook normgroids its all you hear about everywhere for weeks on end. it used to be april 1st was one day in the year you were like, well, the entire internet will be useless today and do something else. now it's like well someone got shot guess i'll go read a book or something. shit sucks.

When I was younger I did expect the internet to centralize, but I didn't expect sites like newgrounds, 4chan, tumblr, and reddit to fall off so fast. I thought they would be winners in the centralization process. It turns out they're not. Probably because young zoomers are not interested in them. We're in the age of influencers, streamers, and ADHD content. Basically tiktok. I feel like all the old forums and blogs are dead.
