my friends in middle school/highschool have always been emo kids. i used to skate a fuck ton. it was until highschool that skating started becoming a trend again. and the whole emo scene just got fucked with social media through out my time in highschool (im class of 2020). that whole e-boy/e-girl era warped the fuck out of what "emo" is. i remember in junior year when i got a job i pierced my own ears and was just rocking basic black loop earrings and just wearing some heavy metal shirts. lol people where calling me an eboy for that shit.
What happened to emo guys? that whole era got chipped away piece by piece through out the years. I have friends who teach middle/high schoolers, one of my emo friends too, yeah they can confirm that shit its long gone now. the only people who even keep the trend up are people who are actually still into it or actual posers who just want to fit in it for attention (mainly women).
