>>81523476Soooo I have read some books, mostly on Japan. Off the top of my head Ive read 1941 by Eri Hotta, Ive read Soliders of the Sun and Kaigun.
For German history I really like Juergen Osterhammels works but if I read about German history its mostly through primary sources rather than historical analysis. Like, I enjoy reading through old propaganda pamphlets or speeches from the Wartburg Fest or Hambacher Fest, as the Vormaerz time is pretty interesting to me. Or just generally the pre-unification time. Its what Ive been reading up on recently so thats just what comes to mind first.
But overall Im more of a documentary or person when it comes to history stuff. I read mostly fiction.
>recommendationsI can warmly recommend Akutagawa, father of short stories in Japan. Really good, especially The Life of a Stupid Man I enjoyed. Also check out Spinning Gears. Its not finished as Akutagawa killed himself before he got to end it, but its still an interesting read. If you want some really depressing stuff, check out Dazai. I really liked the Setting Sun, as it paints a pretty good picture of post-war Japan and the fate of former Japanese aristocrats after the loss. Check out Sosekis Kokoro too. I really like how human it feels. Its one of my favorites.
>>81523492In theory yeah, in practice NOPE. Cant get pregnant rn, not even risk it. I need to get my degree first, then a job, then a house, and then maybe I can think about raw dogging it. But as of rn I havent even had sex so honest to God idek if Id like it. Just like the idea of it I suppose.
