I have a Kindle, it's about 10 years old and I still use it sometimes. It's pretty good. The screen looks a lot like paper in a regular book. I can have lots of books on there, instead of having to carry around big and heavy physical copies of those books. I don't think mine has a dark mode but I'm not bothered by that. Also my one doesn't have a backlight but again I'm not bothered - I can just use a torch or whatever, like you would do with a regular book. You can probably get a second hand Kindle of this age from eBay for not much money.

That guy's gotten better at talking to camera over the years... and VCV is the original open source software that has a paid version where you get all the modules. VCV's paid version has customer service, Cardinal has... a Discord. That's the trade in.

If you want to play guitar into it, there's tonnes of modules for just processing audio, some have "envelope followers" that track the volume of the signal coming which you then plug in to something else, so if you pick harder maybe a tremolo goes faster.

I'm playing the Ottomans. They're a cool artillery focused faction but start off weak, overextended and with a very poor initial roster of units compared to the better equipped/enlightened/disciplined European factions, once you get some more modern units of infantry you're good but you have strong artillery throughout the weaker early times.
It was maybe a fiver on CDKeys? Have had a huge amount of fun playing with this.
