I've actually asked numerous times why americans (republicans specifically but I'm sure there is/was tons of others too) care so much about Israel and it seems to come down to some religious bullshit where they are the chosen people or something, or the second reason is that they're the only us friendly country in the giant cesspit known as the middle east so they have to give them a gorillion dollars every years.

You kinda hope that America gets involved because then Israel and everyone on their payroll be under the microscope. The public discourse is already out.
