That sounds fun, i never finished demons souls, i should give it another shot. Im counting the moments until i can leave work and get home to play lies of p. I do a bit of reading myself. Mostly warhammer novels though. The only manga ive read are berserk and blame but enjoyed them both a lot. When it comes to anime my tastes are kinda lame. I like ecchi or shonen stuff mostly. Im a caveman. I cant focus on something unless its violent or sexual but ideally both.

berserk is one of my favorite manga! it's my second favorite my number one manga is fist of the north star, but in general shonen, when it comes to books I love PKD's books he is the guy that wrote "do androids dream of electrical sheep?" which was made into movie (bladerunner) when it comes to anime though I prefer mecha anime like gundam and votoms, I did like evangelion a lot (rei is best girl)

Fist of the north star was pretty great but ive only seen the anime. Kenshiro is such a bad ass to a comical degree. Blade runner is pretty neat, both the old one and the new one. Never read the book though.
I havent seen a lot of mecha anime aside from gurren lagan of that counts but the armored core series is a lot of fun.

I actually think the fist of the north star anime is superior to the manga (except maybe for the art and the fact that is very censored) because it gives some characters more screen time and also the ost is great, I did like both bladerunner movies but I prefer the old one over the newer one and I haven't seen gurren lagan, that one is a bit too modern for me (not that I'm old but most of the anime I've watched are from the 80s and 90s) and I've been meaning to play the armored core games for the longest time but I just haven't gotten around to it, it's such a disgrace that I haven't played them

I get ya about the modern anime thing. It just doesnt feel the same. I watched a little bit of wolfs rain the other day and i was flabbergasted about how the quality of animation has dropped so much since this came out and its only like 20 years old. All the armored cores are pretty fun but for answer is my favorite. You get a great sense of speed in there. 6 is also a blast.

another thing I don't like about modern anime is how exaggerated the voice acting is and also most modern anime have painfully generic character designs, but I mean it's not like I avoid modern anime it just so happen that most anime I've been interested in are from the 90s.
