Yeah if that happened that's actually a miracle. The only way to reset you tolerance from alcohol is to stop drinking and completely detox (could be a month) .

And your tolerance increases faster every time you start drinking again after each detox

how is that even medically possible
i drank too much in the past so now i need a fifth of 40%abv or a 24 pack to get me pissed proper even if i havent drank in weeks

Turns out you're an android and the variable to hold your tolerance value is an signed integer that overflowed from you being a raging alcoholic for longer than the programmer (God) had anticipated to be possible, otherwise he would have either used more bits to hold that value or programmed a hard cap.
