I think I'd like to be honest for a moment - the older I get, the more I become comfortable with the fact that I'm not a good person. I suppose it just got drilled into me as a child, to share, be kind, etc. But I'm older now and just introspection on some things - I don't want to do a lot of those things, and I don't particularly care about almost anyone's suffering except my own.

I think I have a moral sense of what "ought" to be done. I don't think this comes from God or is just built into the nature or the universe or something ("objective moral fact"), but I do think that being a human and interacting with others has certain correct and incorrect ways of doing so. It's like chess. There's some moves that are good some are bad and some that are not even in the rulebook, they are illegal. But it's like, short of the consequences to myself, i don't really care. I don't care about being "good" beyond the social grave it affords me. I think if I were born with some kind of sexual compulsion or something I could have no trouble being some kind of offender.

But as it is, I'm not. But there are women, desperate vulnerable women who sell sex for drugs or cash, and I engage in this for my own benefit. This is many steps higher than porn, which is how this relates to your post. That is to say, deep down I do actually believe that in a very real sense the sexual relations between a prostitute and her client (I.e. me) are not fully consensual, and it is morally wrong. She is not a fully willing participant. Circumstances and desperation forced her hand and there I am taking of advantage of it for my own gain. I suppose the point here I'm making is that, I just don't really care. Also hell does not exist so your threats don't scare me. Getting robbed does- but I am armed in a small way, and stay wary. Cops I'm not worried about.
