because other people's fee-fees matter more
i don't mind if they like, can afford it or whatever - what gets me is that they sacrifice one life for another's with the caregiver basically becoming a sort of exoskeleton for the demented
again, i don't mind if they can afford it

Idk bro, my dad has dementia after 2 TBIs (Traumatic Brain Injury) and now is rapidly declining. It sucks but I can't do anything about it. It is what it is.

we need people with dementia alive in order to study dementia anon
a much better question is why aren't neurodegenerative diseases more important of a subject to study?

people with dementia don't get to choose when they develop it, that's like asking a 5 year old what to do if their mother gets shot in the face while they're shopping at walgreens

A combination of "b-b-buh it's a LIVING PERSON! GRANDMAHMAH NOOooOOOOoOOOO!!!1!1!1!!" and the fact that 90% of ALL your medical costs will be put into your last 2 weeks of life. Insurance companies are evil and retards who'd rather feed 10s of thousands into a clueless corpse feed those flames.

Christian/nu-leftist morality. Mercy killing is considered bad for some reason.
Nu leftists in particular see the killing or death of a human as the ultimate evil. Hence they think its more morally good to strip you of income and force you to spend the rest of your life homeless eating out of trash cans than it is to kill you. Another example is how they often prefer a criminal they want to punish to suffer mental torture for the rest of their life in a prison rather than just killing them. That one is always funny to me. >you sick fuck enjoy being anally raped and trapped in a hellish existence until you die >WTF how can you be so immoral as to suggest just getting it over with and killing him

This, I don't even dislike christians individually but their moral system is extremely flawed and filled with tons of civilization ruining exploits and dysgenic incentive structures, this is made more apparent if you look at how christianity originally spread, which was through slaves, prostitutes and other very low class people in the declining roman empire.
