I haven't been in school since 2019. I use ChatGPT the way it was intended: over the API with custom-defined tools in JSON schema to use in a heavily-sandboxed system.

Based chink using AI to blow the fuck out college education as a sham. So many useless and pointless assignments. High school it could be argued is the time for diversity but college should focus only on what directly pertains to the major you are interested in, alas, they need to make money off you because college is a business in the good ol' U.S. of A. and so they need to crowd your pathway to graduation with academic filler and slop. The college demographic has long stopped being intellectual anyway.

Retarded take. You CHOOSE your classes in college. If you don't want to learn about something, then... don't. Why are you wasting your money?

I know how it works, you fuck. I didn't choose to have to take 120 credits worth of classes. All my major's directly-related courses came out to more or less half that in credits.

Incorrect, there are programs that have an average of $76k as the graduates' starting salary. A full-time worker earning the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour would make approximately $15k a year before taxes. That's 5x the salary difference.

Non major classes are intended to create a more well-rounded educated elite, so that an educated person has a broad understanding of the world and can think outside the box of his educational focus. But since college is for plebs and not the elite, non-major classes are a box checking exercise, many of them can be replaced with a multiple choice CLEP test, and faculty design party school tier gen ed courses that you can pass drunk, so students who want to drink at school will pay tuition to their school instead of a different one.

No, because we're adults. But, I see nothing wrong with using the AI for education and to pass dumb shit. It is the future anyway.
So the Asian dude is simply living in 2025 as the rest of the world should.

Whoa whoa whoa hold up tough guy. You did 180 credits in under 2 years? Yeah ok. Let me tell you what that sounds like. That sounds like pure grade A internet bull. You think you are some academic Navy SEAL huh? Running around stacking full time course loads like they are pushups? Give me a break.

You expect anyone with half a brain to believe you cranked out what amounts to four full degrees worth of coursework in less time than it takes most people to finish one? What were you doing, attending classes in your sleep while writing ten term papers at once with your toes?

Either you are lying or you were enrolled in Make Believe University where the professors hand out credits like candy. There are real people busting their backs to finish 120 credits in four years and you want to pretend you doubled that in half the time like it is some kind of flex?

Nah. Not buying it. Seen too many fakes to let one more slide by. Next time you want to impress someone, try doing it with something real.

I mean it was bad over a decade ago when I was in college. Foreign students who couldn't speak two sentences of English being passed through to high level classes. They used to just hire people for assignments, no idea how they passed tests or if the school just let them slide. God help you if you a group project with them, you will never hear from them and in the rare chance you do, it would be dogshit quality work.

I use AI to write every single thesis (Claude AI to be exact), let it quote literature and add in the sources, only thing I do is read over it a week before defending it and google the concepts.
I have never written a single thesis myself since last semester (AI was still a bit shit at it in 2024) and idgaf.
I don't fucking care about academic honesty, I want a piece of paper to get money out of it lmao.

Checked but unbased
The paper was always worthless. Op is adeptly playing the metagame. Not using a tool that is best suited for the task at hand is pure foolishness. I wish we had llms back when I was getting my degree. I typed up my essays in the meme classes by hand.
>the cracked teapot is a metaphor for white people bad, and the strength of women, that's why I love paying taxes, the end, thank you
We had to sit through a 16 hour all day long seminar on rape. Specifically it taught that rape is bad and clearly defined rape as any time a man has sex with a woman, including if she is drunk, high, sober, tired, stressed, old, young, hungry, or changes her mind. Then there was the mandatory class on genders, how to pick one(this was on the test and you got worked wrong if you picked male), and graphic guides on having gay sex.
Ideally it would have only been science and math classes, a choice between Latin or Greek, and a few classes in philosophy or formal logic.

what's devaluing it is ukrainians and indians making counterfeit university diplomas that they sell of $100 each so that people can lie that they've gone through academic education. The example you are faced with is like blaming europeans for throwing away plastic bottles when china and india are either burning trash or throwing it down their rivers.
If you're gonna point fingers at people responsible for ruining something, point the fingers at the people that contribute to said damage the most
