i can only tell you from my personal experience. one example i can give you is how men treat each other at the gym, at the one i go to everyone respects each other and just want to grow into stronger, better men together. there's also lots of forums and boards like this one where men can vent and complain and usually will get other men telling them they feel the same way, that's been my experience with male friendships too.
