i think you're making too many assumptions about things we can't possibly know
>I don't think we can experience anything with them without our brainwhat if they go on to inhabit something else? maybe your soul can become a tree and all the trees are talking to each other: you can conjecture almost anything
i believe there is a god and that God is good and loves us - he lets us be free
i believe God made us in his own image and that he wants to see each of us thrive and do well - God does not want us to be slaves worshipping him because if God did then the world would be such that we were
God gives us our freedom so that we might grow and develop ourselves even if this also means we can do wrong: if we could not do wrong then we could not do right either
we are made in God's image because we all intuitively know aspects of him: we all know kindness and cruelty, love and hate, guilt and catharsis, etc
our bodies too are reflections of this for they reward good behavior with good health, happiness, friendship, and family and they punish bad behavior with pain, anguish, and isolation
certainly, there is evil and it is often tempting to do wrong: to cheat someone, to lie to people, or to overindulge in sex or whatever
there are often temporary benefits to doing wrong but in the fullness of time bad seeds grow a foul crop
yet God still wants us to enjoy life as there are many things we can enjoy and often when enjoyed properly they are good for our bodies too
sometimes i wonder if God is training our patience such that we might become good custodians; we have shared custody over earth but collectively we're not doing amazing
as time goes on, more responsibility is given to us and taken away from God (nature and evolution): i suppose time will tell if we deserve it
i don't think about the afterlife - if there is God then he must be absolutely just so there is no reason to fear
if he were not absolutely just then why would you care about his judgement?
