These are not a cure. They will not make you happy. They will not solve your problems. You will still be sad and/or anxious. It won't disappear.
What they will do is make everything less intense. Both the bad feelings and the good ones. They are a good option if what you want is to be able to function.
You choose to trade your emotions for the ability to function.
This is useful when your emotions are against you and prevent you from leading a normal life, or at least a life at all.
They won't change who you are. They won't modify you to the core. They will tone everything down. You will be less of you, not someone else.
