The last couple of updates have made the game kind of suck now, and not really feel like the 2010's game, but its still a game you can waist a good amount of time in, so I'd say yes

You're a few years too late, we've done this a lot in the past.
It always gets ruined by hackers with cracked clients or people who speedrun towards the end.

I played on an r9k minecraft server back in the day. It was pretty cool, I lived in a nazi village with a bunch of anons, and we all built huge swastikas around

Maybe I'm crazy but I thought there was an r9k minecraft server. Last time I was here was years ago though. Semi-anarchy with grief protection and no PvP would be fun, I could spin up a paper server instantly since I have a bare metal dedicated linux box running proxmox but I don't feel like it.
