so it all started when I was like six years old and I was really obsessed with this audiobook series about three junior detectives. And I was really in love with the third detective, Bob Andrews, but since he was an audiobook character I didnt know much about his physical appearance other than that he was supposed to be the youngest of them, the shortest of them, he was blond and he had sorta like Harry Potter style glasses. So one day on my moms tablet I looked up Bob Andrews irl because I didnt realize that he was not, in fact, a real person. Anyways, I ended up landing on the FanWiki page of that franchise and it said in Bob Andrews physical description that he woulda been around like 5ft7. Thats obviously not super accurate probably since I dont think the source material ever gives him an exact height, but I just sorta rolled with it and decided that 5ft7 men are where its at. Fast forward to when I was like 14/15ish, I got really obsessed with the Arctic Monkeys. Like I had my bedroom walls back at my moms place plastered with posters and I bought physical copies of all the albums (on CD cause I was too broke for Vinyl). Anyways, the lead singer of the Arctic Monkeys, Alex Turner, is 5ft7 as well and was the objectively hottest man alive to me. I was convinced I was going to marry him (fun fact, I didnt).
Then I eventually got to Highschool, and it wasnt until like my junior year that I was actually interested in any boys I knew irl in my classes. But then when I actually started crushing on guys in Highschool, pretty much all of them were either exactly 5ft7 or around 5ft7. And it wasnt like I was purposely seeking out 5ft7 guys. I usually didnt find out their height until way after I liked them.
Then I got out of Highschool and the first guy I ever dated is 5ft7 as well (exactly). Cant really explain the psychology behind it, but its just been a consistent trend throughout my life.
