Anon, I'm insanely old. I'm 35, and I get daily panic attacks from LGBT / woke culture. You guys are young kids, so you have no idea what someone my age is going through. The entire society around me has changed. In my childhood, I was taught that x is good, now people are cancelling me online for not thinking x is bad. Does your LGBT mind have enough empathy and tolerance to understand what your "enemy" is going through?

I'm just too old and dumb to understand your values, anon. To me, a smart system would be:

I don't think there's a culture that would promote this. Seems to be the result of dating apps and lack of socialization, likely due to technology. But I don't see any social pressures saying "you should be an incel", quite the opposite. But you're right, it's a bad thing and it's happening. For me, the God hypothesis is just that, a hypothesis. Much more so a personal god with a specific set of mandates. You're right in that not following a religious ethical world view leaves you with no moral system, I'm struggling with this myself. But I don't know if this would be tangible really. There's terrible people who are religious and good people who aren't, ethics are possibly genetic.

Norway is similar and it's probably one of the best countries in the world. But I do think Norway's Pride is going too far, because when I visited Norway last June they were hosting Pride for children (Barnas Pride). I heard a little girl say she doesn't know what she is yet. This made me post this thread, and this is why I freaked out over the effects that Pride has on children. When I was young, kids weren't confused over their identity. They didn't know it was a thing. I didn't either. I can't remember thinking of sexual orientations when I was a 1st grader. It's something that shouldn't be pushed on kids.

But it's nothing compared to the power they once had. This was our fate when church had full power.

These are exceptions. Most churches there are still calling gays sinners doomed to hell. Even Finland still has conversion camps. I've watched a Finnish soap opera that tackled the issue. Homophobia is not eradicated in Finland, and religion stands behind it, even with less power than before

Both of us grew up in a world where these issues were taboo, and you wrongly assume that we, queer children, didn't exist, but we did exist in the shadows of a cis heteronormative society.
You simply have no empathy to put yourself in the shoes of a queer kid who grew up in a world where being different was a sin.

The only thing that was pushed on kids was religious indoctrination and heterosexuality. You grew up seeing straight love stories in the cartoons you watched, and you thought that it was normal.
But god forbid a gay theme be spoken about to kids, lest it will influence them? Can't you see the glaring double standards at play?
Queer children definitely existed and were confused about their identity and place in society. You just weren't one of them, and you prefer a world that would erase their childhood like mine was erased.
Kids like us were pushed inside the closet, and only now they are starting to see the light of day.
