it's just n independent variables but because we exist in 3d space it's like people don't even try to understand it
i usually think of it as a line of graphs and then 5d space would be a graph of graphs, 6d space a 3d graph of graphs, and then 7d space a line of graphs of graphs etc: it's simple to visualise

it's crazy that you can think of 3d space as three sets of 2d space because that also means that you can think of 4d space as 6 sets of 2d space and 5d as 10 sets which means any rotation is reducible to these basis ie a matrix which is just the product of n(n-1)/2 2d rotations that is rotations in n(n-1)/2 orthonormal planes but i have to admit trying to rotate other than arbitrarily in more than three at once is hard

it would just be a 3d graph where each coordinate was itself also a 3d graph - that would capture all the information
sometimes people use colour to encode the 4th dimension in 3d space like if you imagine the visible light spectrum where red tends to negative infinity and purple tends to infinity but i don't consider that particularly legible
i'm not in a position to be able to draw right now and i wont attempt it on my phone so you can freely tell me that i can't draw a cube in 3d space of composed 3d graphs as coordinates
>>81658538
the nice thing about mathematics is it's metaphysics and so it exists entirely independent of reality
even if humans, not just books, didn't exist whatsoever then all of mathematics would still be true
that's why they put it in the voyager mission and stuff iirc
>>81658502
i'm retarded but i don't think i'm stupid
in fact i think part of why i'm so retarded is because i'm not stupid so i have stuff floating around in my brain which normals don't and that causes me to draw very different conclusions or implement different methods

i think the most legible way to draw 6d would be in 3d space where your curve used colour as rgb values to encode the 4th, 5th, and 6th dimensions

so it sounds like you would argue that mathematics are something we discover rather than create? or maybe both could be true at the same time. the reason why i mention the burning of books is because all of our discovery could be lost, and entirely new number systems could exist in the future, as a result of human discovery/engineering or perhaps an artificial intelligence

furthermore i think mathematical constants are really subject to time and therefore nothing will stay the same forever, which brings into question what is actually objective or not
