The spinster will never know the satisfaction of a mother's 8, and if you gave a mother the life of a spinster for a few years, she would be miserable without her children around, no matter how well things went for her in that life.

Basically happiness statistics are self reported, completely subjective, and given without perspective of what life would really be like with a family. Comparing happiness between the two groups of women is apples and oranges.
