The tendency of LLMs to sycophantically agree with everything their users say is going to give people some very funny ideas.
Terminally online are impervious, but turbo-normies, retards and old people don't seem to understand that OpenAI and its competition have financial incentives for their products to try to inflate their users egos, at the cost of any objective merit to what they say.
I envisage a situation where a new subculture of people arises so utterly bemused by any pushback to their ideas or ridicule of their point that they stop interacting with other humans entirely, as a means of preserving egos and further entrenching ideas that are met with ridicule or mistrust from humans.

I run local LLM's for various other reasons and embedded systems with RAG. Ever since sillytavern and LMstudio came out a few months ago you have no excuse if you want it local.
