i've met people through a furry org, various alt events, and friends

people tend to be the most friendly at DIY functions, but they may also meet enough people that they usually won't prioritize you or initiate things

if you're not on social media, the bulletin boards at alt people spaces are a good place to start. The scene forces me to use instagram to see announcements and i hate it ;_;
