>at first glance it just seems like depression but as a personality, right?
It's not depressive at all really, and a schizoid in their untreated form might not even be capable of depression.
The disorder is basically about having a weak, undeveloped basic/minimal self, leading to hypersensitivity, inability to be embodied properly in one's own body and life and so forth. This combines in some way with pic related style splitting, (causing general ego weakness) where the outer and internal world are fundamentally disconnected in a way, where the individual just physically can't mix them together, all the while internally all the "libidinal" aspects of attachment, dependency needs, need for love and friendship etc. are actively suppressed and dissociated away so even the individual themselves isn't aware of their existence, much less people on the outside.
>wonder if it's like some sort of high-inhib psycho/sociopathy?
Nah. It's blatantly on the schizophrenia spectrum, whereas psychopathy isn't.
