It's interesting I don't believe in it anymore. The reason is that it seems to stem from corrupted impulses. Once you realize the truth you will see evil everywhere.
In this case:
>Self improvement: vanity, materialism, individualism
>Grinding: i say this is good but it is directed towards the things above so it's not good in its intention
>Game: sure, rather trivial though
So basically a lot of it is okay but the intentions aren't good.
