Dude it's happening right now. My sister is getting her PhD, she just got paid to give a speech at a conference about her research into waste water purification and disease prevention, my little brother just got invited to be the second guitarist for an actual metal band, meanwhile I'm washing dishes and drinking every day so I don't have to think about it.

In a similar boat. My older sister has worked at fucking Harvard Medical School AND UCSF (2 top medical schools in the COUNTRY), has given conferences in several EU countries, and is on the verge of a medical breakthrough and she's only 2 years older than me. Younger sister got a degree in fucking graphic design and is now a systems engineer making $110k a year.

It's taking me everything in my power to not blow my fucking head off.

my brother is more successful than me but my parents never lambasted me about it and i love him and im proud of all of his accomplishments.
My heart weeps for people with bad parents, as it seems to be most of the population nowadays, but suicide isn't the answer to this supposed shame.
