I think it's because you see them more and more online since most indians got internet access only withing the last few years.
And alsos the fact that a lot of indians have come to the west the last few years and are taking tech jobs and such and when they get promoted they tend to hire other Indians over other people.

Nepotism, scamming, and sexual harassment are all very common in Indian circles. Also many of them just smell bad.

It depends though. My aunt's friend is a upper caste North Indian woman and she is very clean.
