>>81707860>What are your thoughts on genocide in GazaI actually watched a video about this just now, just is what motivated me to post here, where jews are commonly hated.
It was a conversation in between a jew and a palestinian.
I thought that the jew's arguments were strong, and he was logically correct in many points.
However, I felt genuinely bad for the palestinian. At times, his words and demeanor made me want to tear up. I also felt contempt and dislike for the jew when he didn't seem to respond in the same way.
Overall, it was a civil conversation, and some common ground was able to be found, even if anecdotal, it may serve as a symbol of the possibility of peace.
In regards with what is going on in Gaza. I don't like it. I don't condone it. Honestly, I'm very far from that place and really not involved at all, my tax dollars don't go there, unlike americans. So it's not even that present in my local politics.
While I was watching the video, I developed some thoughts that have already faded, regrettably, but the general sentiment and,
TLDR: is that... it's all wrong. I don't like it at all.
I believe that the existence of Israel is more like a necessity. So it's hard to come up with a solution.
The idea of "a secular state" was thrown around, and that is probably the correct answer, however very implausible as of now. Although, I do believe that Israel, as a political entity is the closest to such a concept in the entire region. But I just can't say that they are "correct" in what they do.
I don't know enough to come up with a good argument or solution, so I'm just giving my sentiments about it. Which, now that I think about it, it's same I've heard from my close family members, but they don't practice the religion.
>>81707861I think some do. But I think those are just as retarded as you.
