same. I wish I didn't let my parents talk me out of it. but seeing how bad my 20s went, I probably couldn't handle the ptsd anyway. so it was probably for the best.

If you're looking to level up in real life, joining the U.S. military is a solid way to do it. You get all kinds of free stuff - food, housing, healthcare, and education if you stick around long enough. Plus, you'll gain serious life skills like discipline, time management, and expertise in areas like tech or mechanics. The gear's pretty badass too, and you'll feel like you're in a movie while rocking it. But the real highlight? The brotherhood. You'll make lifelong friendships with some of the most loyal, hardcore people you'll ever meet, and the experiences will bond you for life. Sure, it's tough, but that's where the rewards come in: you get paid, you learn valuable skills, and the retirement plan kicks in long after you're done. It's an intense challenge, but if you want adventure, discipline, and a solid future, the military might just be your next move.

The recruiter is going all out on this one. Must be a bigger war that Shecklestein wants to cash in on starting.

I actually got kicked out of the military twice for depression/adjustment disorder and suicidal thoughts/'ideations.' Didn't even make it passed AIT. You'd be magnitudes worse in than out.

how old are you now? its still an option as long as youre not 35+, have any disabilities, any diagnosed mental illnesses in the past 3 years or so

i myself as a marine vet would recommend something like coast guard (they have sick duty stations and awesome jobs), air force/ space force, navy even

I feel very similar anon. I've only become stranger, and I would have been less lonely, more focused, even if I were in a coma for 3 of those years.
