The cause is that too many men are being born than dying. War has always kept the male population stable so the useless trash was weeded out more often than not. As women we need to encourage men to be violent so they can either get killed or kill the weaker men. This is evolutionary fact.

If you keep trying to abuse them into dependence, the manhaters will always convince people to abuse them and keep them down. With economic independence they can refute the abuse themselves and find partners and participate in society despite it. But if you keep allowing blatant discrimination upon them and keep them as poor as you could possibly make them on purpose because they are male, they will never actually be able to stand up for themselves.

Solving the problem is less of a problem and more of a social decision to stop doing evil. You don't have to call them toxic or discriminate against them, or keep them from ever buying a house. People just want to. Social problems aren't problems, they're a communal decision.

The root cause is the same for most other problems right now: there is just something very wrong with modernity. The internet and mobile phones are bad of course but its way more complicated.
