It is the answer but think of it like this:
If everyone agreed it is the answer and most people killed themselves because life is hell, the ones advocating against it both get left alone and have to do everything themselves. Imagine a cozy work from home fuck who has a relatively good life. Imagine all the people going to work and putting in the real labor kill themselves - he can no longer work from home and he no longer gets paid because the business collapses, so no more easy life.
No more people to compare himself to and say "I'm doing better"

Most people are like this when they say don't kill yourself, they need someone below them to keep themselves going. They will never admit this because it takes some serious introspection to admit. Humans are vile like this, all of us.

I was forced to get a gun by my employer for work-related reasons, against my protests, and now it sits on my shelf and I have to think about how if I had suicidal thoughts or a sudden psychotic episode, it's too easy to reach and abuse.
Guns are scary, I don't want to kill or hurt people, but now I have a weapon for expressly that.
