>>81730192>you inherently feel that "not interested in girls" is the worst thing a man could beNo, I don't at all. You just don't know how sleazy sociopaths that divorce and look for other women work. They are incapable of seeing other men as anything other than competition for women. If I'm reading the situation correctly, the stepdad was attracted to the farm girls and OP is probably more attractive than him. The stepdad then subconsciously felt the need to "put him in his place" in front of the girls and called him gay. If this weren't the case, the stepdad would have discussed this with him before. His stepdad is absolutely not convinced he's gay, it's a fucking power play that he knew he'd face no resistance from.
*step* dad. Not real dad. Real dads are already assholish and unhelpful enough. Step dads are just going to want to see their step kids fail. It's not his kid after all. It's all a sham. Most (working class) fathers don't really want to see their sons succeed. So quit accusing me of homophobia. Gays are probably some of the most spiritually enlightened people on earth, I have nothing but respect for them. Getting called gay is not an insult in-and-of-itself, it's the context here that's everything. Like I said, it's a subconscious, ancient alpha male monkey dynamic. And we should do out best to rise above it, but we should also recognize when it happens.
