Feel like most American posters live in boring, undesirable areas, with not much going on.
Been up to NYC a few times, pretty crazy place that's too overwhelming for those of us not used to big cities.

Yes, when I went to New York for the first time I was five years old. It was just after 9/11, everyone was very angry, bitter, and I was elbowed down to the ground for standing still on the side walk.
You used to be able to walk up to a window on the street and get a $1 slice of pizza and a can of coke for $0.50, nowadays it'll cost you about $5.50.
The rat problem is overblown, most clean places are fine. Down in the subway tunnels they can get pretty insane though
