Ngl, I read the whole thing when you posted last time, but had nothing to comment because I am a complete beginner. I would hate to derail your thread but is it okay to ask, how did you learn to write? I want to write but my stories always sound so amateurish or like it is being told by a child. I have experience in essay and business writing if that helps. I am in no place to review but the story kept me interested.

I'll maybe write a longer post because there's a chance

Obviously read more, that's important. Audiobooks don't cut it when you need to feel the words in your own head.

But I also watch movies and think about how I'd describe the places the characters are in. Movies with atmosphere or set in time or interesting places. Those same directors/writers thought they were interesting for a reason. It's a bit more complicated than that though.

That is fine. If you write a long post and it gets deleted, I can always read the archives.
