I find it a horrifying and disgusting that 4chan and Reddit are two of the only places on the Internet that haven't been completely overwhelmed by AI slop.

if you mean people posting ai art and music, yeah 4chan and reddit are still mostly negative about that stuff but i honestly doubt either are free from ai posters en masse

You don't even need an LLM for low effort posts. This reminds me of how people thought AI is easy to spot because it doesn't use slurs, when you can just use a Python script to postprocess the text and add nigger.

That being said some of them are kind of icky. And it can't grasp the shifting ideologies and emotional eccentricities of the various factions. If I type a well thought out post debunking some antivax or covid schizo post, 99% of the time the reply won't be some bot style post trying to respond to what I said based on the content and key phrases, it will be some vitriolic rant about how much they want to murder me, or at best a tldr kys, because thats what humans do when they go off tilt on some issue where they identify and the aggrieved or marginalized position. Maybe im wrong
