My friend group has plenty of second gen immigrants as well, among them a syrian who changed his name to a german one to feel more in tune with his identity here.
I consider him even more german than a lot of natives because of his love for the culture desu.
My experience pretty much mirrors yours; elementary school was fine, but from 5th grade onwards they just became more and more, even more than us.
Primary problem is that they often show hostility towards the german identity and try to impose muslim values in here.
It's getting better with people willing to speak out more and becoming sick of pandering to self-hating leftists tho, bless shlomo & clownie for that.
As for 2015, that's just when the immigration waves came, but the problems started earlier (the whole culture war and the lack of shared national values).
