>Dark Red/Blue: China/USA
The main industrial powers, have their own territorial goals in mind but will help on other fronts (US trying to consolidate Latin America and China trying to consolidate East Asia)
>Red/Blue: Western/Eastern powers
The countries which roughly align with their superpower benefactors (fighting occurs along multiple fronts, each will mainly focus on their individual theaters but will aid the others if desperately needed in tandem with their respective hegemon)
>Light Red/Blue: Western/Eastern Sphere
The countries which are not officially at war but still supportive of their respective side (will allow allied troops to move through their borders, will follow economic sanctions placed on opposing countries, will economically support their respective side, but will not commit troops besides volunteer militias or allow allied troops to attack from their borders)
NO nukes NO holds barred, who takes it /r9k/?

Are you fucking kidding me? The reason why the USA hasn't declared war since WWII is specifically because an official war declaration would automatically mean the deployment of nukes. Wars are begun so that they can be over.

Saying "Ok, I run my own Manhattan Project now" isn't a suspense of disbelief? I'm not actually building my own nukes.
Furthermore, if you're discounting the existence of nukes entirely and saying its not possible, that means that you're changing the physics of the universe. A physically different universe wouldn't even have the same planets, if any.

Well think of it, most gun owners are spread out throughout the states and are mostly middle aged, with the odd exception of youthful doomsday groups. They would be going up against actual trained terrorist planting bombs and doing hit and run campaign with smuggled military equipment like how the IRA did. So its not like Joe Schmoe has access to military info on when Pablo and his crew with strike. Hell, pablo was probably trained by the CIA back in the 80s

you think they coudnt unite? para military forces will rise, or the us central govermnet would use its reserves
>They would be going up against actual trained terrorist planting bombs and doing hit and run campaign with smuggled military equipment like how the IRA did.
you know how much time and resources it takes to actually train poeple to warfare?

The most that would happen would be like a militarized neighborhood watch, though honestly I see them doing more harm than good by rounding up random Mexicans that had nothing to do with it, this wont be like red dawn you know, so maybe they can catch a shipment or two of military gear but that would be nothing compared to what an funded terror cell can do, look at the cartels now, they smuggle man and material inside the states no problem, the only reason why they dont bomb us is cause we are their biggest customers.
>how much time
Im just assuming since literally ww3, its all hands on deck now, look at the mujahadeen, Vietcong, the contras. All they need is Russia and Iran to give them surplus gear and some agents and they are set
Osama was trained around that time, its not hard to pass down knowledge, like how the cartel is doing, they have the tunnels, jungles, and mountains necessary to be easy to hide, the Ho Chi Minh trail has already been dug we are just lucky the Mexicans are still on our side

thats already enough, but you are understimating the situation. if vietnam, the houthis or the afeghan niggas organized, why would the american populace not organize? US also has a large population of war vets, police and law men who have legitimate military training. but again the us goverment would probably mobilise the reserves for home defence and a possible power grab through martial law, domestic terrorism will be used to justify dictadorship and even more militarization.

Here's how it'll realistically happen (no autistic alt-history wish fulfillment shit nor seething brownskin fantasies):
>Cause of WW3
Modern governments are too bureaucratic and cowardly to go full bore so it'll be caused by a MASSIVE POWER VACUUM that forces them into action (most likely Russia collapsing into warlords drawing in NATO vs China.)
>S. America will be neutral
They gain nothing so they won't join.
>Africa
Some existing conflicts (like Sudan) might join the larger war. But other then that it'll be a side show of a side show.
>S Asia/Turkey
Will basically stay neutral occasionally seizing some small territory or bases for their own gain (claiming it's to help a side)
>Middle east
Expect bastardized clusterfuck alliances to form, like Israel+Azeris+Saudis vs Iran+Armenia+ISIS with endless indecisive wars that go nowhere.
>SEA
Will try to avoid the war at all costs. Although air/sea/island battles will happen all around them
>Central Asia
Will be neutral but basically Chinas bitch
>Eastern Europe
Poland/Finland/Ukraine will do 95% of the European theaters fighting
>West Europe
Will send minor token forces but will act like they're major contributors
>Anglo-sphere
95% of the fighting they do will be air/sea superiority and taking far flung Chinese/Russian islands/bases. Won't actually contribute that much tactically BUT will give NATO forces most their supplies money.
>China
Will funnel troops to prop up Russia/N. Korea. Essentially fighting a massive border war.
>S. Korea
Will be Verdun 2.0 static war that goes nowhere with horrendous losses.
>Japan
Like Europe will send token forces. N Korea will bomb the shit out of it to get cheap morale victories.
>Taiwan
China will attempt to blockade it. After US breaks the blockade China will bomb the shit out of it.
>Conclusion
It'll be static war with nothing much gained ending in ceasefire.

Nukes can't destroy the world.
1. MAD is a myth, most nukes would be used to destroy other nukes and military instalations.
2. Nukes aren't as destructive or numerous as they were in the 70s and 80s.
3. Nuclear winter is a myth.
4. Radiation would only be dangerous in areas that were directly bombed and even those areas would be safe in a matter of weeks, not centuries.
But asking your question, I think blue would win, they have better industry, resources and more manpower. It would a bloodbath desu.

Doesn't matter. India has no motivation to join ww3 except for attacking Pakistan and China won't risk another front for that. Likewise India knows that a full-blown war with China is beyond their capabilities+nuke threat. Realistically India will be a vulture who circles the sky and waits for one side to be weak enough before making their move. They will trade with both sides, just like they do now, but will have BRICS-bias due to ties with Russia and knowing they would be the junior partner with west.

Why not? They clearly have some serious material on him and republicans have such a hate-boner against Europe that they might do it for shits and giggles. Democrats don't matter, I'm honestly beginning to think they don't even exist over there due to their inability to do anything.
But for real, I don't see WW3 as allies vs. axis deal, but rather as multiple concurrent wars that may or may not be related. US will focus on China-Taiwan and Israel-Iran axis while EU will face Russia, with the rest either joining those regional struggles for their own interests, squabbling among each other separately or remain neutral. There will be arms deals and such, but countries will be vary of fully committing into wars they have no direct part in. US can't keep supplying Europe while fighting their own wars, and Russia will rather preserve whatever is left of their Pacific fleet and trust that China+NK can handle themselves without taking any serious actions against US besides warning and condemning them.

China appears powerful but I doubt they'd be able to effectively challenge a nation founded and perpetuated by war.
The Chinese are a race of bureaucrats and rice farmers, not warriors like Slavs or Germans.
Although the West is way past its prime and the people here hate their governments and conscription could be disasterous for a western government.
Also Israel should be blank, there's no way they'd lift a finger to help America in a war, they didn't do a thing in any of America's conflicts in the Middle East.

When I say the US was perpetuated by war I mean it in its most literal sense, it literally has not seen a prolonged period of peace time, unlike China.
US has been in one some kind of armed conflict since her inception. Whether it's been wars with the Indians, the Mexicans or foreign interventions in Latin America and the Middle East.
The US has been shaped through her conquests, China has been shaped by being conquered and each conqueror contributing to the larger Chinese identity.

I'm thinking it's probably going to be China, purely due to demographic reasons. China's and the US's economies are too intertwined to make outright war a realistic possibility, so it'll at most be a bunch of proxy wars like we had with the USSR.
As The US becomes more and more brown, productivity will fall and the social fabric that made the US successful for so long will continue to unravel. China has a pretty TFR, so they aren't great on the demographic front either, but they have made a concerted effort to maintain their homogeneity and unify their culture to a degree while the US has done the exact opposite. All china really has to do is wait for the US to balkanize and try to expand their sphere of influence as much as possible via soft power.

The only winner would be Turkey. Erdogan has amassed a massive army, and unlike Russia and Iran, his army hasn't been decimated by proxy wars. Turks produce drones on a massive scale, and have already taken over Syria and Armenia. Taking over the rest of the middle east would be easy for them, especially if America becomes occupied with a war in the pacific.
