It's not because of COVID, their culture, or any other insignificant reason.

The people at the top understand how much of a threat China is to the current power hierarchy and are slowly pushing anti-Asian media to get people riled up against China and instill more nationalism. This would result in people feeding into Chinese influence, products, and hegemony overall. It'll also ingrain a sense of hatred towards Chinese people, but the side effect is that ALL Asian people, including those in the US, will be on the receiving end of this.

This is just what I'm concluding through my observations, but I could be wrong. There's just no way that anti-Asian, especially anti-Chinese media has become so common these past few months to years. I used to get a couple of anti-Asian media content maybe once every other day, but now it's every day and my friends have also noted the same thing. This of course could just to be due to my personalized feed

Bullshit, Chinese/East Asians have always been
discriminated against since the founding of the US.

Deservedly so, they are traitors of their origins.
They will never be Americans.
