>>81807874Because Man and Woman have very specific biological and sociological definitions that aren't really flexible in some areas while being flexible in others. You can call yourself a "woman" all you want but if you didn't grow up as a woman and weren't socialized as a woman and don't pass as a woman, will you ever actually be treated like a woman? Instead of assigning an identity to yourself like that, you have to build your identity the same way you build trust with people, and that requires give/take. You can't just claim to be a man or woman, you have to start with how other people perceive you and then work your way into their good graces through that.
It's important to be honest though, and I think calling yourself a Woman when you aren't is just gonna get you in more trouble than it's worth. If you just were to call yourself a Ladyboy or some other random word for a 3rd gender people would at least be more willing to hear you out from the position of "oh, this person isn't a man or a woman, they must be something else" rather than "oh, this person claimed to be a man/woman but they obviously aren't?" which just makes people distrust you.
