I was ripped off by a car dealership so to get even I am going to damage cars until I feel I've caused an equivalent value to what I was ripped off plus cost of performing my plan. Here is my plan:
>First wait a few months so they've forgotten about me
>Build a large, portable slingshot sturdy enough to launch a handful of 1" ball bearings about 50 yards
>Print fake temporary license plate, get a rental car, get a remote controlled magnet to hold fake license plate in place.
The car dealership is conveniently located directly next to a freeway on ramp. The idea is to get a rental car, hide the real license plate with a fake one held on by a magnet that I can remotely switch on/off in case I need to ditch it fast (freeway cameras will capture my plate number otherwise). I will make the large slingshot operable by me while driving, load it up with the ball bearings, and as I'm driving up the freeway on ramp at night I will launch the bearings out. They will spread out and have enough mass/height to break windows, make dents. It won't be anything huge but damage like this on brand new cars will add up. Of course they will have insurance and ability to fix things cheaply so I will assume ~$1,000 of damage each time if I launch 10 ball bearings. I will need to repeat this 6 times to reach equivalent exchange.

The slingshot I'm planning to build will be something like this but smaller. Portable so I can move it in/out of the rental car backseat. Built in a way that I can load it up before driving and then lower the window and launch it by reaching back while driving. I have the tools to build something like this pretty easily, I'll just need to buy some elastic.
I will use gloves while handling the ball bearings, otherwise they'll be completely full of finger prints.

I will have to randomize as much as possible so they can't trace me back down. Use a rental car or else they'll look up who purchased my car. Cover license plate for freeway cameras. And I'm sure after the 1st or 2nd execution they will set up their own cameras. Give enough time between executions. I'd like to always do it on a Friday/Saturday night so the damage is maximum on Saturday/Sunday when most people buy cars but I don't want to be too predictable.
I have the time, tools, and mental issues to get this done pretty easily. The only issue is not getting caught.

That was something I considered but there are a few issues. I will need to be stationary long enough to get the drone out there, drop payload and return. Someone may be able to follow the drone back to me. I don't think dropping from a drone will have a good enough spread to cause the same amount of damage as grape-shotting a dozen ball bearings - I'd have to execute the plan more times, more chances of getting caught. I also think by using a drone it would invite much harsher laws against me and much more interest from police.

Yes this is a good concern. I had thought of the phone already (I've been leaving it at home as I have been driving around scoping out the area the past few days) but I hadn't considered the rental car. I'll look into this, perhaps I can find some cheap company that doesn't use trackers. I know TURO is a service that lets you put your own personal vehicle out for other people to rent, I may get a car from that service.
