I'm on the communal van riding to work. I think today will be shorter than usual because there is a Destiny 2 expansion releasing today and my foreman wants to leave early to play it.

I've been doing it for 5 years. I don't mind the work itself really, I enjoy being physically active and becoming physically tired. When I'm squatting in the shade, sweat pouring down my face, breathing heavily, I feel amazing.

I have this same mental attitude anon. always have. lately I have been trying to get out of that type of work in hope that I can do networking certs instead, or work on hobbies, or finish my degree. it's working to some extent, but without that constant pull of hard labor running me exhausted at least once a week, it feels like something is missing. like I'm doing something wrong, I AM doing something wrong.

in truth I started to hate my job. those feelings were getting harder to chase, and honestly I chased them until I got fired. other guys chased it harder than me and continue to. it's a whole lifestyle. I am still just a weak nerd and doing that type of job doesnt let me ignore that as well as it did when I was younger.
