I have continued to style my own hair and facial hair for about 2 years year now. It is easier to learn than cooking and is also cheap.

I cut my own hair and whatever utter insanity comes from it is what I call my style, I don't bother with beep boop NPC niggercut #1-12, I let God style my hair and that involves doing nothing other than bathing. I look utterly fucking insane irl and people avoid me except the homeless, but I consider that winning.

I'd consider growing it out if I were you. It's kinda faux pas at the moment, like skinny jeans, it was popular pre covid, now long hair and baggier clothing are in. I've been to all Scandianavian countries recently and only arabs still have that haircut (and skinny jeans). Further more, only arabs use armani, its like they're always 10 years behind.

This is why I go to a woman hairdresser and show her a picture.
They unironically do better and I'm a black dude saying this since I get a curly/mulatto perm (since it's easier to maintain than an afro)
I even saw my hairdresser do a dudes lineup and it was better than most barbers in my city that I've seen.
Showing a picture of what you want also helps btw.

Barbers and stylists been tearing up my shit for 3 months now so im just growing it out
my "bangs" look like a plate on my head and my sides are uneven and full of bald spots
i went fucking psycho cause all the girls began treating me like shite. fuckin skanks
