It's actually a lie that passion makes someone interesting. For example, I made a minor and negligible discovery. All of my attempts to be passionate about it were with with disdain and contempt, not to mention fabricated confusion to shut down any discussion of the subject. Sometimes passion is just off-putting. I don't mean to say socially approved passions aren't interesting though.

Sounds like you just have hypomania. Sometimes I do that kind of thing like one time I wanted to start a car company and another time I wanted to write a music album.

How is that a lie and who is telling you that passion makes you interesting if they are also uninterested in your passion, retard? You contradicted yourself 3 times in like 40 words.

people find stories interesting and not passions, tho one can turn their passions into stories

Nobody finds stories interesting. Nothing is more annoying than somebody talking about their vacation

Like right now or when it happened?

Whenever you thought you figured out how gravity works or whatever your vague statement is supposed to mean. One time I thought we could store energy via just using potential energy by allowing weight to fall and harnessing gravity with ropes and weights. Then I realized that we already harness gravity and potential energy with hydroelectric dams like a week later.

Stop speaking vaguely, you may as well be one of those eastern europeans who post here and refuse to admit they live in bulgeria

this is speaking from personal experience, for example no one really cares about some weird and quirky programming things unless they are a nerd also into it, but people will gladly listen when you tell them what project you're currently working or what things you've built

is that still vague? or are you just kind of dense

that falls on the other part of my OP. the idea is bare simple but people still pretending like they couldn't understand it even after the mot basic demonstrations

Say the passion in specifics faggot. I don't walk around telling people about leatherworking

I'd rather not tell you now because you're being rude (spoiler: you've been rude from the start, for no reason).

then the idea of itself is not interesting enough for some random retard people don't like to hear about concepts but rather the implications/results of those concepts

Holy shit, yes, that would be the point of this thread. The point being only certain things qualify for "passion" and anything outside of that either has to be made "wacky/sexy" like the Chocolat movie (duuuude, we made chocolate sexy) or sexy analytically. Anyway the point was not the specific idea that's just what lead me down this train of thought.
I might as well have just said "ever notice how no one cares about weebs who can't shut up about Japan?" but obviously that is not what was going through my head when I made the thread

Why should people care about some random idea if they are not invested in it already? Of course you have to make it pretty first

that's simply not true anon. if it was true people wouldn't watch new shows, try new food, experience new things in general. openness to novelty is a pretty fundamental element of the human experience. also don't tell me you expect me to make something pretty if no one wants to see it anyway, that would be dumb.
>>81839778
i think we can erase the line in the sand by agreeing that not interesting thing is simply not interesting, and my passion for it is also not interesting

And everything of that involved making things pretty. People love to go to restaurants but are annoying at having to cook food unless they are into cooking

nooooooo, don't confuse finished product with pretty thing, and don't confuse thing with money behind it and thing with no money behind it, where will that leave me?

>It's actually a lie that passion makes someone interesting.
Truth. You having a passion for something that interests a person will make you potentially interesting to that person.
People are only interested in a small set of things that they're capable of being interested in. If you show them a new potential interest too far from their existing interests, the amount of passion you have for the new interest does not affect people's reaction to the new interest in a positive or negative way.
If they're interested in the thing, your passion will make them feel more positively about you. And if they are disinterested in the thing, your passion will make them feel disgusted towards you. Many a man with a Star Wars figurine collection has experienced this. Normies cannot look at such a man with any compassion or empathy. Just rejection and disdain.
Good luck passionbro.
