Every female BPD (or suspected BPD) I have know was batshit and swapped to a new attachment fast, every male BPD (or suspected BPD) I have known was only triggered if someone was verbally abusive, avoidant, or ghosting and bedrotted for months or years after losing someone. In my case (I don't have BPD but I have some attachment issues similar). What set me off was someone I was engaged to being distant and refusing to spend time with me for an entire month, randomly deleting ways to contact them and ghosting (this is someone I am engaged to, not some rando e-date) so I had to frantically chase them down, or outright mocking my appearance, health, or aptitude in things I was accomplished in.
