Here's the thing. Relationships are not interesting. Cheating and affairs are 'interesting'. But a monogamous relationship does not stay interesting after 12 months. When you spend that much time with someone, you inevitably are going to grow bored with them no matter how interesting they might be.
Furthermore, the attitude of 'you must be interesting' rather than 'let's do interesting things together' tells a lot. This is someone who will expect you to do all the work to entertain them and will cheat on you if you don't.
