Notice how 400 years ago something as simple as a grocery list was penned in an overly elaborate writing like cursive and that the language itself was overly formal and courteous?
Humanity objectively is getting more vulgar, more obnoxious, and ruder each generation. It's not just a matter of the aging process it is a real observable phenomenon that you can trace simply by examining the historical record.
Anyone who was on this site in it's heyday can tell you how far this place has fallen largely because the new user base just plain sucks. They aren't funny, they aren't insightful. They don't make original content, they don't have fun, they don't make use of any of the lesser boards which now move slower than ever before, they post very short simplistic replies or they post threads about screenshots from social media. And the generation after them will probably be even dumber and more boring.
