Is it normal to slowly go blind as you get old? I need reading glasses now. I literally cannot focus my eyes without them. This was never an issue for me before.

Yeah, it is.

I used to see pretty okay without glasses in the past 5 years im basically near-blind without them. I cannot function without them, and i wear them basically constantly unless i'm sleeping

That's nothing, anon. I need reading glasses for any close up work these days. Lucky they have those 3 pairs for $12 at the Reject Shop. The real problem is when you don't get as hard as easily as you used to. These young fags complain about having to goon... imagine not being able to because your dick isn't interested.
