My parents stumbled like careless idiots through most of their life and got everything they ever wanted, and still are not happy, meanwhile myself and my siblings struggle every day to budget ourselves and do everything perfectly and are barely capable of scraping by. This makes me jealous of the opportunities my parents had. Their lack of appreciation for the objectively better world they grew up in makes me spiteful. I feel like I have been betrayed by them somehow, like they were the ones who were responsible for making everything so difficult today.
