For instance, if you are someone who does something directly with money at a company, and you start fucking the person who is responsible for enforcing financial controls and overseeing your work, fraud becomes possible. This goes beyond people fucking. Corporations have these rules in place for a variety of compliance and audit reasons. The company can lose insurance, fail audits, lose licenses or certifications to conduct vital business functions. Not to mention the absolute loss of credibility and confidence in the market.

Yes, to the uninitiated, rules like this seem overbearing and ridiculous. However, companies wouldn't waste their time and implementing these if they weren't necessary.

If you can't be trusted to act with integrity in your main relationship you devoted your life to, why should you be trusted at work and that you won't betray the company for another one, sell out IP, and just generally fuck everyone over when it benefits you?
