America and most of the Western democracies stand with Israel, even if they sometimes posture against it, and no one has the balls to stand against America regardless of how utterly insane they act on the world stage, so Israel gets immunity by association. If my country throws missiles into our neighbor's civilian domiciles then we get invaded by a UN coalition. Israel bombs brown people near them living a medieval quality of life and the free world claps. We are not yet far enough removed from the age of imperialism and racism to be civilized.

It's less about the Jewish religion and the Hebrew ethnic group and more about Zionism. No one actually gives a fuck if Jews worship the exact same god as Christians in a moderately different manner.
